Profiles and Options

WhitePhone Personal allows you to set your personal profile through the Profiles main tool bar at the top of the screen.

Personal Profile

In your Personal Profile you can edit your personal contact details, change you password, upload a photo, set your personal preferences, view and edit Options and Regions.

Select Personal Profile from Profiles in the main tool bar.
If any of the details are incorrect edit the information and click OK.

It is very important that your telephone numbers are listed correctly as these will be used for the FollowMe! Service. The correct format is:

+44 1534 746533

Where 44 is the country code (this one is for the UK ).

If you are not sure what your country code is you can find it out by clicking on the Call tab, then click on Phone Calls and select your country from the list.

Numbers should be entered in the international format which means they start with a + and have the full country code and number but normally exclude the leading zero where appropriate (e.g. +441534746533).

Inside the U.S. US and Canada numbers should be entered in international format which means phone numbers must start with the + sign, followed by the 1 and the phone number. No dashes are necessary. For example, if your number is (310) 624-3884, the correct format would be +13106243884.

Change Password

If you are not content with your chosen password you can change it by following these steps:
  • Click the Change Passwords tab under Profiles / Personal Profile.
  • Type your current password into the Current Password box.
  • Type your new password into the New Password box.
  • Re-type your new password into the Confirm New Password box.
  • Click the Change Password button.

Photo upload

We strongly recommend that you upload your photograph to personalize your communications experience.

To upload your personal photo click on Photo Upload under Profiles / Personal Profile.
Your image must be either GIF or JPEG format and be 160 pixels wide by 120 pixels high. The total file size must be under 50kb (the smaller the better as this image is displayed in the called party’s call window).

To upload your photo click the Browser button, find the photo on your hard disk and double click on the file name. The photo will be displayed in the Photo Upload tab. If this is the correct photo click the Upload Photo button. If the photo is the correct size and format the image will be sent to WhitePhone for approval. Our team will review this shortly and make the image live. There could be a small delay whilst this happens, so don’t get concerned if it takes a little while for your image to appear.

Need to resize your photo?

If you need help in scaling your photo please click the Image Processor button. This will take you to our web site where you can upload any image in JPEG or GIF format.

If you have an image that is too large (over 160x120 pixels) to be used as your photo, then this utility will attempt to resize it for you.

Click on the Browse button below to select which image you wish to resize, and then click on the Resize button.

Please wait after clicking on the 'Resize' button, uploading the image may take some time if it is a large file.

Once you have processed your image just save it to your computer. Please note that our Image Processor will not resize animated files.

To upload your resized image click on Browse, find the resized image from your computer and click the Photo Upload button.

Image Library

If you prefer to have a “fun” image, you can also browse our Image Library to choose between a variety of saved images and animated graphics. In fact you can contribute to the Library and earn phone credits for every image we accept. Simply send your fun image to support@whitephone.com.

Preferences

Preferences allow you to select from a range of announcements that are created in the Me! function. The Me! function is discussed in greater detail later in this manual. When an announcement is made, in the Me! function that matches your preferences and the geographic areas that you are interested in, you will automatically receive a message with details of the announcement. You can choose to reply or delete the message. Only if you reply to the message will your details become known to the party that generated the announcement. The system is entirely anonymous unless you choose to respond.
