Business Communications in the Markets

Your Markets is an interactive publishing and communication network that gives you the ability to create, broadcast and respond to announcements instantly to and from a multitude of pre-defined areas.

These pre-defined areas also link to the personal preferences that you can choose to set, which ensures that information is that is appropriate to you is matched to your preference and sent to you as a message to either act upon or delete, as you choose. 

To use Markets is easy. Simply click on the region you are interested in and click on the “Search Announcements” button. Choose your Area of Interest and Announcement Type from drop-down lists provided.. Remember that you can also select within your personal preferences tab to receive all appropriate messages automatically.

Within the Markets your options are:

  1. Select country or region
  2. Select Area of Interest
  3. Announcement type
 

Once these are selected you can select the Search key and view any announcements that have been published by other users on Markets.

If no search results are displayed, or they are not of interest to you, or you want to return to Markets main menu simply close the Search Announcements window.

To create, publish and broadcast an announcement, select the Create Announcement option on the right hand side.. This will open up a Create Announcement pop-up window.

How to make an announcement

Note: announcements will go to all users who have opted to receive announcements in that area of interest and geographic region.  Under the Terms of Use You are responsible for any announcements you make including any legal consequences arising. You should therefore ensure that you only make announcements with safe content which you are entitled to distribute in this manner and where the laws of your country and any recipient country permit such announcements to be made.

Click here for guidance relating to making announcements and transmitting messages. This guidance forms part of the Terms of Use and must be followed.

  1. Click on the Create Announcement button.
  2. Make sure both pull down menu selections of the pre-defined areas are complete. These are:
    • Area of Interest
    • Announcement Type
  3. Enter a Headline Title followed by the date and time and the amount of days you want the announcement valid for. This Headline is displayed prominently at the top of your published announcement.
  4. Enter the text of the announcement which is a brief summary of the announcement you are making.
  5. We recommend that you then select the Preview button to view the announcement in the style and content that it will be broadcast.
  6. You can edit the announcement at this stage if you choose and then select OK and the announcement will be published and broadcasted in the pre-defined areas and geographic territories that you have selected.
  7. It will automatically be broadcast to those users who have selected to receive announcements in this are of interest and geographic territory.

You can make as many announcements as often as you like.

We strongly recommend that you upload your company logo and your photograph to add maximum impact to the announcement section, as your contact information becomes your on-line business card when someone views an announcement that you have made.
